Don't want you to become to complacent .

Glad to see Eichel back in action and performing right out of the gate. Hope he tears it up.

once the initial excitement of Jack wore off the team did not look good.

However Carrier has had some very nice plays and if he can just make it more consistent could be a very nice accent piece for the future

on your comment in the last blog about Eichel being captain...... i ask, outside of ROR and Okposo who do we really have to be a captain? they are all either young or just not leaders.

Wasn't really going the captain opinion. Just noting when he is on the ice, he seems to control the plays before the puck drops.

One thing, when our forwards actually play offense, it shows how bad our defense really is. Hopefully Bogo and Kuli can come back soon!

I think the same. Missing 2 of your top 4 D is a pretty big deal when you finally have your forwards playing offense. But i think when they come back and everyone else is healthy we should be ok. Not good on D but ok.

And i am a HUGE fan of McCabe, but last night he did not look good AT ALL.

So what i am getting from this chart is that Josh Gorges makes almost everyone on the team worse when he is on the ice.

Too many terrible defenders on this team right now. We're so exposed. But ya know what, I'll take 5-4 over 2-1 (mostly losses) 8 days a week.

100% last night it was actually fun to watch hockey and be excited. I forgot what it felt like!

I want him gone...I really don't think his "system" is conducive to maximizing our young talent...

Jack is the reason we won last night...not anything Dan did (anyone else notice after we went up 3-1 we backed off and played like poop the whole second period)

He shouldn't get a pass by simply allowing Jack to be back on the ice.

Don't get me wrong...I was grinning from ear to ear when the final horn sounded...but we can't let one game blind us to the issues this team has:

- No D partner for Risto
- No Sniper on the Left wing
- A Starting goalie who is looking more and more injury prone
- A coach who prioritizes his system over finding ways to maximize player's abilities
